Places we’ve stood behind.

Sort
  1. SoHo · Spanish restaurant

    Boqueria Soho

    $$$ · Reviewed September 2026

Barcelona-style tapas on Spring Street since 2008 — gambas al ajillo, bacon-wrapped dates, jamón sliced at the open kitchen. The food earns it. The noise and the chain footprint are the honest trade-off you make.

  2. SoHo · Chocolate shop

    MarieBelle & Cacao Bar Soho

    $$ · Reviewed September 2026

A chocolate salon tucked behind MarieBelle's SoHo boutique: antique clocks, ornate chandeliers, the Aztec hot chocolate, and wine-and-chocolate pairings if you want to stay longer. Open since 2001, and the room still looks like it costs more than it does.

  3. SoHo · Cocktail bar

    SoHo Cigar Bar

    $$$ · Reviewed August 2026

One of the last places in New York where you can light a cigar indoors, and it doesn't feel like a compromise. Art deco leather booths, 150 whiskeys, candlelit tables. The Rat Pack portrait on the wall is not ironic.

  4. SoHo · Wine bar

    Cork Wine Bar (Soho)

    $$ · Reviewed August 2026

Candlelit, compact, and stocked with old-world bottles from small producers — Cork is the kind of SoHo wine bar that feels like a lucky find even after you've been three times. Order the charcuterie. Let the bartender pick your wine.
