The original Felice, on First Avenue since before the others existed. Fifty seats, exposed brick, tufted leather, and a hundred Italian bottles — thirty-plus by the glass. The food is beside the point. Come for the wine and the room.

An Irish-leaning UES gastropub with 24 taps, a back patio, and a room that gets loud fast. The cocktails are solid, the seared scallop risotto is better than it needs to be, and the vibe is unambiguously bar — not bar-that-tries-to-be-intimate.

A corner gelateria in dusty pink and pale green, with 150 rotating flavors churned in-house. The chocolate pistachio kadaif is the one to get. Order, then take it outside — the room is loud and the sidewalk tables are better anyway.
