The rotating oyster menu is the move if you want something to nibble while you settle in.
~6 min walk (0.3 mi). Walking from Maison Premiere toward Jackbar, you'll cut through the Bedford Ave stretch — peek into any record shops or vintage spots that catch your eye. This block rewards slow walkers.

A short stroll away, Jackbar is a low-key paradise of vintage pinball machines and outdoor tables — the perfect place to inject some competitive energy into the afternoon. Challenge each other to a head-to-head on the machines; whoever loses has to pick the first bottle of wine at dinner. The vibe is easygoing and the stakes are delightfully low.
~2 min walk (0.1 mi). Jackbar and Recette are both on Havemeyer St, which makes the handoff between activity and dinner almost suspiciously easy. Note that Recette sits a bit south of the core Bedford Ave action — still firmly Williamsburg, just a quieter, more residential pocket of it.

The French onion soup is deeply serious — Gruyère-blanketed, veal broth underneath — and the cocktail program is backed by two competition bartenders who clearly have something to prove. If it's a nice evening, grab a patio table and let the whole thing run long.
