Open since 2007, Ayza has a starlit ceiling by a commissioned artist, cozy booths, and a wine-and-chocolate pairing flight that gives a first date something to actually do besides talk. The concept earns it — and the chocolate Manhattan seals it.

A third-floor Korean-American small plates spot on 32nd Street — dimly lit, open until 5am on weekends, and built around soju, tteokbokki, and the kind of meal that turns into three more rounds. Good for a date that wants to go late.
