Palmetto has been open since Valentine's Day 2020, which is either a good omen or a useful fact — either way, the bar has had long enough to figure out what it is, and what it is works. The room reads like someone took a record shop and dropped it on the Amalfi Coast: white walls, palm-tree murals, hanging plants, candlelight, a record player going at all times. It holds together better than it should.
The Vibe
Banquet booths along the walls give you somewhere to actually settle in; midweek, the room is low-volume enough to talk. Come Friday or Saturday and that changes — DJs play, the standing crowd fills in, and the drink rails along the walls start to make a lot more sense. It's not a quiet bar on weekends. It's a social one.

- Jakarta-Colada — the house frozen drink that cuts through whatever season you're in; the one to start with.
- Milk Maid — order one alongside a glass of orange wine and let the night decide where it goes.
- The cheese board — fine, but not the reason you came. The cocktails are doing the heavy lifting here; the snacks are filler.
When to Come
Tuesday through Thursday, doors open at 5pm but aim for 8. Happy hour has cleared out, the booth is yours, and the bar is still running at full attention. Weekends are fun in a different way — looser, louder, more of a scene — but harder to hold a conversation in. No reservations Friday or Saturday; arrive and wait.
