Maretta landed on Avenue B in late 2024 and immediately felt like a neighborhood secret — concrete walls softened by candlelight, a pizza oven crackling behind the bar, and a seasonal Italian menu that's unpretentious in the best way. Order the mussels and a Negroni Shakerato, and let the night find its own pace.
~10 min walk (0.5 mi). Maretta sits on Avenue B, which is technically the East Village border rather than the LES proper — it's a short walk east but feels like a different, quieter world. Worth noting if you're navigating. After dinner, head back west toward Allen St for dessert.
