~5 min walk (0.2 mi). From Skin Contact on Orchard St, head south and then east toward Division — it's a nice stretch to wander through the heart of the LES. Keep an eye out for the old tenement buildings and the occasional gallery storefront still lit up at night.

Book ahead — this place fills up fast for good reason.
~11 min walk (0.6 mi). After dinner at Bacaro, you're already on the lower end of the neighborhood. A short stroll north up Ludlow brings you right to il Laboratorio — the walk itself is quintessential LES, especially once the evening crowd starts spilling out of the bars.
