~7 min walk (0.4 mi). From Moonflower to Palma, you're cutting across the West Village's best few blocks — meander down West 11th toward Cornelia Street and take a second to appreciate that this particular stretch looks exactly like it did forty years ago. That's rare.

Palma has been doing candlelit Italian on Cornelia Street since 2001 and hasn't needed to reinvent itself once. The ivy-covered back garden is one of the most romantic rooms in the city — stucco walls, soft light, and tables spaced generously enough for an actual conversation. The housemade pasta is the move; order it alongside whatever the kitchen is proud of tonight.

After dinner, head south on Bleecker Street toward Christopher — the strip between Sixth Avenue and Hudson is peak West Village window-shopping energy at night, all warm storefronts and brownstone stoops. Aoko is tucked in right along this stretch. Note: Bleecker nudges toward the edge of the West Village grid, but you're still squarely in the neighborhood.

The signature gelato flight comes in five shades of green — Level 1 is gentle and sweet, Level 5 is ceremonial-grade and bracingly earthy.
