Cocktails, Pasta, and Ice Cream in Tribeca

Hangout · Tribeca · Chill

A low-key Tribeca evening that hits all the right notes — creative cocktails in a stylish local bar, handmade Tuscan pasta in a bi-level trattoria, and a scoop (or three) of Van Leeuwen to close it out.

01Drinks

Tribeca · $ · Bar

Grand Eleven is the kind of neighborhood bar that doesn't need to try too hard — and doesn't. The cocktail menu is imaginative without being pretentious, and the chicken parm sliders are a genius move if anyone's running on empty. Grab a high-top, order a round, and let the night settle in.

11 6th Ave, New York, NY 10013

~2 min walk (0.1 mi). From Grand Eleven on 6th Ave, head south on Avenue of the Americas and cut over toward W Broadway — it's a flat, easy walk through the heart of Tribeca. Notice how the neighborhood shifts from bar-hopping bustle to cast-iron quiet almost block by block.

02Dinner

Pepolino

Tribeca · $$$ · Tuscan restaurant · Italian restaurant

Pepolino has been quietly holding it down in Tribeca since 1999, named for the wild thyme that grows across Tuscany. The handmade pasta is the whole reason to be here — the pappardelle in particular — and the bi-level space means you can actually have a conversation without shouting. Ask to sit upstairs; it's worth it.

281 W Broadway, New York, NY 10013

~8 min walk (0.4 mi). After dinner at Pepolino on W Broadway, Van Leeuwen is just a short stroll east on Greenwich St — a perfect excuse to walk off the pasta before committing to dessert.

03Dessert

Tribeca · $$ · Ice cream shop · Dessert shop

Van Leeuwen needs no introduction to any New Yorker with a sweet tooth. The Tribeca outpost is perfect for a post-dinner stroll-and-scoop situation — get the honeycomb or planet earth chocolate if they're on, and don't overthink it. Ice cream is always the right call to end a chill night out.
